COVID-19 Update

Due to the limit on numbers at each service under Level 2, and the requirement for contact tracing, you will need to register yourself and your family.

Registrations close at 1pm on Saturday 22 August 2020.

You will receive a confirmation email when you register.  Please check to see that you have registered for the correct service. If you have not received a confirmation email, please contact the office.

Coast Mornings

  • 9am &  10.30am services
  • CHECK-IN  – Gordon Spratt requires no more than 100 people (including adults, children, babies, volunteers in the building at one time).  Therefore, City Church Coast people will all check-in together at the foyer and then children will go to Kids etc. 

North Mornings

  • 10am
  • Adults and babies (and children if necessary)  in main auditorium | Praise and Worship, Word, Prayer
  • Kids programme in The Bus
  • CHECK-IN | Adults check children into bus / Adults and babies check into the main auditorium. 
  • The total number of 100 includes children and adults at North because they have to share the toilet area.

Tauranga Mornings

SERVICE ONE    

  • 9am
  • Adults and babies (and children if necessary) in main auditorium | Praise and Worship, Word, Prayer - up to 100
  • Kids Programmes in A1/Shalom
  • CHECK-IN | Adults check children into kids area VIA SHALOM ENTRANCE / Adults and babies check into the main auditorium (there is one parent's room available).
  • We won’t have the normal tea/coffee stations so you can buy one from The Atrium Cafe but be aware it is open to the public so plan in some extra time.

SERVICE TWO

  • 10:45am
  • Adults (and kids and babies if they come) in main auditorium | Praise and Worship, Word, prayer  - up to 100
  • Kids Programmes in A1/Shalom
  • We won’t have the normal tea/coffee stations so you can buy one from The Atrium Cafe but be aware it is open to the public so plan in some extra time.

MAIN AUDITORIUM

  • Please enter at the OTUMOETAI ROAD ENTRANCE.

EMPOWER

  • Empower must register in the Kids Service and check-in at the Shalom entrance.  They will go straight to the Upper Room and will leave through the Shalom entrance as well.  They will not be allowed in the Atrium.

KIDS

  • All kids should be taken to A1 SHALOM ENTRANCE where they will need to be checked in.

RESTROOMS

  • The main auditorium will be using the main restrooms.
  • Kids will be using the one adult toilet in Shalom.

Night Services

  • 6pm – 7.30pm | One hour service (doors open for check in at 5:30pm)
  • Praise and Worship, Word, Prayer
  • Main auditorium 
  • Entrance (and check in) through The Atrium Cafe
  • Can use main hallway toilets
  • As with the morning services, you must pre-register, but you cannot register for a morning AND a night service, it is either/or.  You could attend a morning service and then see if there are any vacancies at the door after 5:50pm, or, if we do have vacancies we will re-advertise the link to book online on Sunday afternoon.

Prayer Room

  • Prayer Room is open for up to 100 people
  • MUST check-in and out at the entrance
  • No toilets available
  • We will endeavour to have a prayer team available in the prayer room on Sunday morning to pray for those who would like  additional prayer.

The Atrium Café is currently open to the public over the weekend

  • Saturday 8am – 2pm | Serving a full menu
  • Sunday 8am – 12pm | Serving coffees and cabinet food
  • You must check in on arrival – they will manage numbers and physical distancing as prescribed.

  • The Atrium Café will have exclusive use of the main toilets in the corridor.
  • If you wish to get a pre or post-service coffee make sure you allow plenty of time due to the public using the café, the necessity to queue and the requirement to check-in at church or kids no later than ten minutes prior!

Livestream (Church Online)

  • We will continue with church online by live-streaming the 9am & 10.45am Tauranga services. It will also be available to watch later on-demand. citychurch.nz/tv
  • This is a great opportunity if you feel at risk or if you are sick – you must stay home! 

What’s in place for health and safety?

  • Everyone must check in on arrival to ensure we have contact tracing if required
  • Cleaning will be done before and after all services by paid staff
  • Hand sanitiser is available at all locations.
  • No food, drinks, communion, giving buckets will be used at any service including kids.
  • Toilets | Each separate location of 100 will have access to their own toilets.
  • Because we are splitting the venue into different locations within the one location, with a maximum of 100, there can be NO mixing of people within these locations
    • Main Auditorium at all locations
    • Kids area at all locations
    • (Café at Tauranga)
  • CHECK IN ON ARRIVAL FOR CONTACT TRACING AND MANAGING NUMBERS
    • Children going to Kids programme must be checked in by their parents and must remain there until the end of the service when the parent can walk around to a separate entrance and pick them up.  
    • Adults and Babies must be checked in to the main auditorium areas. 
    • People going to The Atrium Café must check in to the Café on arrival – they will monitor the 100 limit.

Handy Hints

  • Bring an umbrella as you may have to wait outside for a bit to queue for check-in
  • Make sure you and your children go to the toilet prior to the service as toilets at some areas are minimal.
  • Don’t be late for pre-check-in or your space may go to someone else! Check-in at least ten minutes prior to the service to maintain your registration/booking.
